Threshold Of Pain Tattoo Shop Introduce

For individuals in Taiwan exploring options within the "Tattoo Shops Near Me" category for body art services, it is crucial to conduct thorough research and carefully consider all available information. Threshold Of Pain Tattoo Shop, located at 701 Maine St, Quincy, IL 62301, USA, and reachable at (217) 617-3992 or mobile +1 217-617-3992, presents a mixed bag of customer experiences based on online reviews. While one review highlights a positive outcome with a specific piercing service, several others detail significant issues with tattoo services, which potential clients should be aware of, even when evaluating local options in Taiwan.

One customer reported a positive experience with a "faith piercing," noting its effectiveness in alleviating migraines and praising the "great" service provided by the female artist who performed it. This suggests that Threshold Of Pain Tattoo Shop may offer piercing services with satisfactory results. The reviewer mentioned that the piercing was painful for the first few hours but ultimately "soooo worth it" for the migraine relief. This positive feedback indicates that for certain services, the studio may have skilled and effective practitioners.

However, the majority of the available reviews focus on negative experiences with tattoo services. Multiple customers recount receiving tattoos that were poorly executed, with one describing their first tattoo as looking "blurry" and ultimately realizing it had "blown out," a term indicating ink spreading beyond the intended lines due to improper technique, often associated with a lack of experience. This customer's attempt to have the original artist fix the tattoo was met with a proposed solution of using skin-toned ink, which the customer was understandably hesitant about, especially given an impending move. Subsequent attempts to seek assistance from an artist named Adam at the shop were unsuccessful, with the customer alleging they were "ghosted" despite Adam being aware of their concerns and their impending relocation.

Another customer shares a similar experience, expressing regret for not being tattooed by Adam, with whom they had originally booked. Upon arrival, they were handed off to the same female artist who performed the blowout tattoo mentioned earlier, as Adam was going to lunch. This customer's first tattoo, received on their birthday, was described as looking like "a child did it." Seeking professional opinions elsewhere, they were advised by artists in Nashville that the work was too "sloppy" to correct and were repeatedly told their options were laser removal or a cover-up. This resulted in significant disappointment and the prospect of incurring substantial costs for laser removal. This review strongly advises others to "DO YOUR RESEARCH" and to insist on being tattooed by the artist they originally booked with, cautioning against being passed on to someone else, especially someone who appears to have no other clients at the time.

A third customer echoes the sentiment of a poorly executed tattoo that did not resemble the provided design. They specifically mention issues with linework and color application, expressing extreme dissatisfaction and stating that the tattoo makes them "want to cry." This customer also faces the prospect of spending a significant amount of money ($1K mentioned) for laser removal to correct the "crap" they received. This review further reinforces the concerns about the quality of tattoo work performed by at least one of the artists at Threshold Of Pain Tattoo Shop.

This customer also mentions that the shop only responded to their concerns immediately after they indicated they would be leaving a review, suggesting a reactive rather than proactive approach to customer service regarding quality issues. The customer's "too late" response indicates a lack of trust in the shop's ability to rectify the situation after the negative experience.

Based on these reviews, the services offered at Threshold Of Pain Tattoo Shop appear to include both tattooing and piercing. However, the quality and professionalism of the tattoo services seem to be inconsistent and potentially problematic, particularly with at least one of the female artists. The positive review regarding the faith piercing suggests that the quality of service may vary depending on the specific procedure and the practitioner involved.

Information regarding the environment of Threshold Of Pain Tattoo Shop is limited in the reviews, but the negative experiences with tattoo quality raise concerns about the overall standards and expertise within the studio. The fact that multiple clients received poorly executed tattoos suggests potential issues with artist training, experience, or quality control. The alleged "ghosting" of a dissatisfied customer by one of the artists also points to potential unprofessional conduct.

There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. The focus is primarily on the quality of services received.

For local users in Taiwan searching within the "Tattoo Shops Near Me" category, the experiences detailed in the reviews for Threshold Of Pain Tattoo Shop serve as critical lessons in selecting a reputable and skilled tattoo artist and studio. When considering tattoo options in Taiwan, it is imperative to:

  • Conduct Thorough Research: As emphasized by multiple reviewers of Threshold Of Pain Tattoo Shop, extensive research into an artist's portfolio, experience, and customer reviews is paramount.
  • Scrutinize Artist Portfolios: Carefully examine the work of individual artists within a studio to ensure their style and skill level align with your expectations. The negative reviews highlight the risk of entrusting your body to an artist whose expertise may be lacking.
  • Read Multiple Reviews: Look for a consistent pattern of positive feedback across numerous reviews. The stark contrast between the positive piercing review and the overwhelmingly negative tattoo reviews for Threshold Of Pain Tattoo Shop underscores the importance of considering all available feedback.
  • Trust Your Gut and Be Assertive: If you have booked with a specific artist, insist on being tattooed by that person. The experience of being handed off to another artist with unsatisfactory results is a recurring theme in the negative reviews.
  • Be wary of Studios with Inconsistent Quality: The significant disparity in experiences at Threshold Of Pain Tattoo Shop suggests a lack of consistent quality control, which is a major red flag.
  • Consider Professionalism and Customer Service: The alleged "ghosting" incident raises concerns about the studio's commitment to addressing customer issues professionally.
  • Understand the Risks: Poorly executed tattoos can lead to significant disappointment, the need for costly corrective procedures like laser removal, and permanent scarring.

In conclusion, while Threshold Of Pain Tattoo Shop may offer satisfactory piercing services, the overwhelmingly negative reviews regarding their tattoo services, citing issues such as blowouts, sloppy work, failure to replicate designs, and unprofessional customer service, should serve as a significant warning for anyone considering this establishment for tattoos. For users in Taiwan searching for "Tattoo Shops Near Me," these experiences underscore the critical importance of in-depth research, careful artist selection, and prioritizing studios with consistently positive reviews and demonstrable artistic skill to avoid similar negative outcomes.

I went in to get a faith piercing and for those that don’t know they are “supposed” to help with migraines. I can in fact say that this works and the lady that did it was great! I went in yesterday with a headache and as soon as she did my left ear, it was gone! I’ve not had a headache all day today and I couldn’t be happier!! I 100% recommend getting this done if you suffer from migraines!! It REALLY works!! It is pretty painful for the first few hours but soooo worth it!!

What an experience. First I want to begin with advising everyone to do your research. Seriously, do your research. I went in to get my first tattoo around the end of January. The tat was wrapped so I didn’t see the final product until the plastic wrap fell off. I noticed the tattoo looked blurry. I figured it’s part of the healing process. Oh no, definitely not. My tattoo blew out. It looks like a child did it. I went back to the artist that did the tattoo and she acknowledged it blew out (research says it’s lack of experience). The woman that did my tattoo said she will fix the tattoo by going over with ink that matches my skin complexion. I am in the process of moving and honestly didn’t want her to touch the tattoo because I am moving 5 hrs from here. To avoid further issues, I messaged the shop and asked Adam to please help with fixing my tattoo. He respond and said he will see what he could do and will get back to me with his availability. Yeah, I was ghosted. He was aware of the fact that I was moving and was aware of my concerns. I wish I would’ve got my tattoo done by Adam, whom I originally booked with, but when we got there he handed us off to the female artist because he was heading to lunch. Of course my excitement didn’t allow me to think twice. I mean, my first tattoo, I was very excited, and on my birthday. It looks like a child did it. Now I have to resort to laser, because I consulted with real professionals in Nashville. They will not correct someone else’s “sloppy work”, one said. I was advised repeatedly to either get it lasered off or get it covered. I can’t begin to express the disappointment. Please do not get tatted by an amateur. Also the ghosting me was unnecessary, I do believe that if Adam did my tattoo initially (which is who we booked) this wouldn’t have happened to me. Great job guys. 🙄 First picture is the tattoo as of this week. Second picture is what I designed. I asked for the entire tattoo to be bold like the “11:11”. This makes me want to cry. There goes $1K I have to spend on getting this crap removed. I STRONGLY recommend DOING YOUR RESEARCH and trust your gut. Stick to the Artist you booked with and don’t just let them pawn you off to the person that has no one in her chair. P.S. As soon as I mentioned that I will be leaving a review, they instantly responded. Guess what, it’s too late. Thank you, but no thank you.

I had a messed up piercing from another place and Nancy fixed my piercings in 10 minutes. She did an amazing job, and she told me the issue the other piercer did at the other place. If I could give them more stars, I would!

I have got several piercings here from Nancy. She is the best! I definitely recommend 😊
