Went here Saturday for their flash sale. My sister and I loved the cute shop. The owner, Brittany, was very helpful and professional during our piercings. My sister got her nose repierced, and I got my conch done. Brittany made me very comfortable by telling me what to expect. She also was not afraid to tell us that a ring would not heal as well for my sister as a stud would instead of just doing what we asked. I appreciate the professional opinion!

i absolutely adore the hive and everyone who’s a part of it! i have been getting pierced by the owner, bethany, for many, many years and she has always made me feel right at home. and within this last year, after a long search for the right artist, i’ve been working with jes and she has been absolutely wonderful at helping me fulfill my tattoo dreams. working on a beautiful coverup piece with her right now, and loving every bit! i highly recommend the hive

I’ve been here 2 times! First to get my septum pierced and the second to get my belly and eyebrow pierced! Since then I’ve been wanting to go get more of my dream piercings done:) I love this place and this place will definitely be seeing me often when I start making my own money.

i just got a tattoo done by meadow at hive. tats great, happy with it so far but it was 3 days ago so i havent seen the final product. my first one healed fine so i feel good about this one too. i first came in for a flash tattoo, great experience. i dmed her to book another. we scheduled, that day rolls around. i check my phone on the way to the app. and i missed the design she sent me that am. i was getting kinda nervous since i hadn't heard from her but we were on the way so i let her know. i checked the design and it was a bit different than the rendering she first sent. she said she could redraw and to still come we'll be fine. i let her know it was a bit of a drive, so i asked if we could make it work, and she said we could. i roll in at 6, meadow and the owner (bethany) are behind the counter, and im ready to get tattooed. meadow tells me she can do it but that her boss is mad already because they close in an hour (she said it wouldn't take long to do. note that the tattoo did take 3 hours in the end) and she's in a time crunch if she redraws. alright we reschedule for the beginning of march and my friend from out of state is going to come get a matching one with me too. i dont hear back from meadow until a couple days before the app. my friend texted meadow inspo, and she never ended up responding. at midnight the night before our new appointment, she sends me drawings of the tattoos. within 15 seconds of googling, i found the drawing she sent me, which didn't look anything like the inspo for my smaller one. the tattoo we've been working on for longer still doesn't have the details i'm begging for (flat bed, mud tires, 3/4 view). she redraws, and texts me less than 3 hours before the appointment. she tells me she didn't feel confident doing mine at the moment, but she can at a later date once we get on the same page. i let her know these are matching tattoos, and im not a fan of that solution. she tells me another artist can, and this artist was much more willing to work with my design. perfect, carry on. she texts us to take our time, and eventually when we arrive for the tattoo, only i am spoken to other than for paperwork. my friends sit in the front, not acknowledged, checked on or anything. they watched one of the lotr extended cut. the first person to check on them was me when we took my "last" break. at that point we've got 30 minutes left, she says. i lay down, half hour goes by. 45 minutes. someone walks by and asks how long we have left? 30 minutes. when i walked to the front finally it was exactly 5:00. she told me we'd be finished by three if we started the tattoo at one like planned. meadow told me to go to the front, we'd handle payment, and that she'd get started on my friend asap. at this point they both want to leave. i go back again to remind meadow im tryna pay, and she's setting up but hasn't even acknowledged my best friend that's about to get tatted. we handle payment, she goes back to her station. still doesn't acknowledge my friend. i walked back and let them know that we weren't interested in getting the other tattoos, and by the time i got to the car meadow had blocked me. no discussion of touch up was had at the appointment, or what to expect during healing (part of it is blacked out). i'm not sure if this is a common experience or if my artist had a off day or month or what, because i haven't been pierced here, only tattooed. shop professionalism seems good, but i had a bad experience. EDIT: i attached her response to my original review. and deleted the photos of her being a decent human, because lord knows that's not her skill set. she said my disabled best friend should to go to toys r us, because SHE ignored them. if you want a professional experience, don't go to Meadow. she's an entitled liberal that thinks she's the only one with problems. news flash, most people work second jobs. i don't wanna hear you cry about your vape shop job when im paying you to work on me. it's not my fault you're allergic to money.

I love going to The Hive! They have a great atmosphere and vibe, with great artists and staff. The artists are all very talented and easy to work with. They support local businesses and community needs, which makes them even more special in my book. I have recommended several friends here and even brought out of state family. You won't regret getting tattoos or piercings here!
