It's important to note a practical piece of information mentioned in the reviews: bring cash, it's cash only. This is a crucial detail for any potential visitor to be aware of before planning a trip to the store. While this might be a minor inconvenience for some, the overall positive experiences seem to outweigh this limitation for many customers.

One reviewer mentioned that while the owner was very friendly and the experience of rummaging through CDs and records was enjoyable, they found a limited selection of their specific genre of music (metal/punk) and their interest (tapes). However, they also noted that the prices are very reasonable and expressed their intention to return again to see what they find next time. This suggests that while the selection in every specific genre might not be exhaustive, the store offers enough variety and value to warrant repeat visits, as the inventory might change over time.

In conclusion, while Syracuse Vintage Vinyl is not a tattoo shop, it offers a unique and valuable experience for music lovers and collectors. Its strengths lie in its impressive collection of vintage vinyl records and CDs, the nostalgic atmosphere created by the music memorabilia, and the welcoming and knowledgeable owner, Tom. Huge selection of vinyl! In fact if you look to your left you'll countless album all for $1. Most ive ever paid for albums to the right is $6. They also sell cassettes, compact disc's, live concerts on dvd and even VHS along with other miscellaneous items like the brand new, still in the wrapping, was the whole 14 seasons of the original dallas all for $28. Just to give you an idea of the bargains you'll find there. I should also mention that the owner is a super cool guy who knows his music. I'd highly recommend checking it out just be sure you have a couple of hours at least. The $1 albums alone always take me at least an hour. It's a great way to spend an evening or a few hours on the weekend. Be sure to check out the hours as I know they're closed on Monday's.
