Purple Haze Clemson Body Piercing & Glass Gallery Introduce

For individuals in Clemson, South Carolina, and the surrounding areas searching for "Tattoo Shops Near Me" who are also interested in body piercing and unique glass art, Purple Haze Clemson Body Piercing & Glass Gallery, located at 1393 Tiger Blvd, Clemson, SC 29631, USA, offers a local option. They can be reached by phone at (864) 653-3855 or via mobile at +1 864-653-3855. While the establishment receives high praise for its friendly and nice staff, some customer reviews indicate potential concerns regarding the quality of their jewelry and the initial placement of piercings, which should be carefully considered by prospective clients.

One consistent positive aspect highlighted in the reviews is the exceptional customer service provided by the staff at Purple Haze Clemson. One reviewer specifically rated their customer service as "11/10," emphasizing the friendly and nice demeanor of the team. This suggests that visitors can expect a welcoming and pleasant interaction with the staff, which is a significant factor in the overall customer experience.

However, alongside the positive feedback regarding the staff's friendliness, there are notable concerns raised about the quality of the jewelry sold at Purple Haze Clemson. One customer shared a disappointing experience with several "surgical steel" clicker hoops purchased from the shop. After wearing one of these hoops in their septum for just under a month, they noticed a significant green hue on the jewelry. Upon comparison with an unused clicker of the same type, the color difference was clearly visible. This is particularly concerning as surgical steel is generally expected to be a stable and non-reactive material suitable for body piercings, and it should not typically tarnish or change color in this manner. The customer, who has experience with surgical steel jewelry from various sources, stated they had never encountered this issue before, raising questions about the actual grade or quality of the "surgical steel" jewelry being sold at Purple Haze Clemson.

Another significant concern raised in the reviews pertains to the accuracy of piercing placement. One customer initially perceived the shop as a more exclusive piercing studio with a glass gallery on the side but later felt it was more akin to a "fake 'flower' store with piercing on the side." Despite this initial impression, they proceeded to get two nostril piercings on opposite sides by a piercer named JJ. During the marking process, the customer expressed concern that the dots seemed crooked, but the piercer disagreed. Unfortunately, upon leaving the shop, the customer realized the piercings were indeed noticeably uneven, a fact that was also apparent to others. This issue necessitated a return visit the next day for a correction by a different piercer, a man with long hair possibly named Jordan. While this second piercer was able to redo one of the piercings without interfering with the original placement and at no additional charge, the customer noted that the final result was still not 100% perfectly even, although they acknowledged it might be due to their own pickiness. This experience suggests a potential inconsistency in the skill or attention to detail among the piercers at Purple Haze Clemson, with the second piercer appearing to be more qualified.

Adding to the concerns about piercing procedures, the same customer recounted an issue with the initial jewelry used for their nostril piercings. They were fitted with studs that had no backs, which resulted in one of the studs falling out while they were sleeping on the first night. While they were fortunate enough to find it and the piercing hole had not yet closed, the experience of trying to reinsert it in the middle of the night was described as unpleasant. This incident highlights a potential oversight in the choice of initial jewelry, as studs without secure backs are generally not recommended for new piercings due to the risk of falling out. The customer explicitly advises others to "request flatbacks," which are a more secure and commonly used type of initial piercing jewelry.

Based on the available customer reviews, Purple Haze Clemson Body Piercing & Glass Gallery offers the following services and features:

  • Body Piercing Services: Including nostril piercings and ear piercings (as implied by the jewelry selection). The skill level in piercing placement may vary among piercers.
  • Jewelry Sales: Offers a variety of piercing jewelry, including "surgical steel" clicker hoops and studs (some without secure backs). Concerns have been raised about the actual quality of the "surgical steel" jewelry.
  • Glass Gallery: Features glass art pieces, though the extent and focus of this gallery are not fully detailed.
  • Friendly Staff: Consistently praised for their welcoming and nice customer service.

The environment of Purple Haze Clemson appears to be characterized by a friendly and positive atmosphere due to the staff's demeanor. However, the reviews provide limited information about the physical space itself. One reviewer's comment about it feeling more like a "fake 'flower' store with piercing on the side" suggests that the overall ambiance might not be that of a traditional or exclusive piercing studio. The cleanliness of the studio is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, so prospective clients may want to inquire about their sterilization practices.

Key features of Purple Haze Clemson Body Piercing & Glass Gallery, based on customer reviews, include:

  • Friendly and Nice Staff: Providing excellent customer service.
  • Availability of Body Piercing: Including nostril and ear piercings.
  • Glass Art Gallery: Offering a selection of glass pieces.

However, potential drawbacks to consider include:

  • Questionable Jewelry Quality: Reports of "surgical steel" jewelry tarnishing and turning green.
  • Inconsistent Piercing Placement: Experiences of uneven piercings requiring correction.
  • Use of Insecure Initial Jewelry: Studs without backs being used for new piercings.
  • Potentially Misleading Shop Focus: One reviewer felt the emphasis was more on retail than professional piercing.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews. Prospective clients should weigh the positive feedback regarding customer service against the potential concerns raised about jewelry quality and piercing accuracy when considering Purple Haze Clemson Body Piercing & Glass Gallery for their body art needs.

In conclusion, while Purple Haze Clemson Body Piercing & Glass Gallery in Clemson, SC, is praised for its friendly and nice staff who provide excellent customer service, potential clients should be aware of the concerns raised in customer reviews regarding the quality of their "surgical steel" jewelry and the initial placement of piercings. The experience of one customer suggests that the skill level among piercers might vary, and there have been issues with the type of initial jewelry used. While the presence of a glass gallery adds a unique element, individuals primarily seeking professional and reliable body piercing services with high-quality jewelry may want to consider these factors carefully before choosing Purple Haze Clemson. It might be prudent to inquire about the grade and source of their jewelry and to potentially seek a consultation with the piercer who will be performing the procedure to discuss placement and initial jewelry options.

The positives is that the staff was so friendly and nice. 11/10 customer service. However, I am very disappointed in the jewelry quality. I bought several of the same "surgical steel" clicker hoops. I have only put one in as of right now in my septum. I noticed my nose was itchy but attributed it to stretching up a size. I switched out the jewelry today and noticed it had taken on a noticeably green hue. I compared it to one of the other clickers I had bought, and it was visibly green compared to the unused clicker. I have bought surgical steel jewlery from piercing shops, Etsy, Amazon, street stalls, etc. I have used them in my ears and nose. I have never had any of them turn green until now. I have attached photos (flash and no flash) of the clickers. The one on the left is unused, and the one on the right has been worn for just under a month. I color dropped the photos to show the green tinge, but it is still a bit hard to see because of my non-professional lighting.

I initially thought this was more of an exclusive piercing shop with glass pieces on the side, but it's more of a fake "flower" store with piercing on the side. But they had good reviews so I got 2 nostril piercings on opposite sides. The piercer, JJ, did well with everything but the placement. They were so crooked, I told her when she did the dots with a marker, but she disagreed and what do I know so okay. As soon as I got to the car I realized how bad it was, and everyone else could tell as well. I went back the next day and a man with long hair fixed it (maybe named jordan?) No charge. It was so uneven he was able to redo it without it interfering with the first piercing. He seemed like the most qualified piercer there. They're still not 100% even but that just might be me being too picky. (They're the same hight, slightly different horizontally if that makes sense.) I'd recommend an established tattoo shop for piercings. They also initially used studs with no backs and it fell out while I was sleeping the first night, thankfully I found it and the hole wasn't closed yet but it wasn't fun dropping it in the sink trying to get it back in and tearing the sink apart in the middle of the night to get it out 😅 request flatbacks.

I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated in this store. I’m not sure of the guy’s name, but he had a low, brown hair ponytail. He was extremely rude to my friend and I from the start. He made me feel like an idiot for not knowing the answers to the questions I was asking him, which, if I am about to get a permanent piercing, I feel that it is very critical for me to ask. I was clearly nervous about getting this piercing and the blatant disrespect I got back did the opposite effect of the reassurance I needed. When I told him I was worried about the length of the bar for the initial earring, he gave such an attitude to me basically saying that that was how it had to be, then backtracked on his words saying it would actually be a bit smaller, all spoken in this rude way. If I’m being totally honest, it didn’t take me long to decide that I felt WAY too uncomfortable to have this man anywhere near my ear with a needle. I will be going to a different place to get this piercing and I have already told my friends about this awful experience. If you work in customer service you should know better than to act like that and I am honestly shocked you have any customers at all. I am absolutely appalled. 0/10 would recommend going here.

A few months ago I came here to get my eyebrows pierced. The staff were friendly but BOTH my eyebrow piercings got infected and starting rejecting within a month of having them. (Yes I was cleaning them everyday) After a while the infection went down but the redness never went away. I had to take one of them out because it rejected completely. And now my other one is rejecting too. This has never happened to be before with any piercing. I also think the placement was off. I asked for my eyebrow piercings to be to the side (the same way people usually get them) But I think the lady who pierced mine wanted to put them in the middle. Now I need to get them repierced at another place.
