Anil is by far one of the best tattoo artists this world has given us, during this era. What makes him “that” good, is his love for Art. No matter if it’s photography, painting, sketch drawings or sculptures. His knowledge about tattoos, & his understanding on how tattoos work is the standard that every artist should strive to achieve. Also the state-of-the art graphic design technology he uses to produce the work he is creating, allows him to make incredible stencils to serve as his guide while working on your body. Not to mention that he makes his own needles, along with his own personal ink which allows him to create precise, intricate details that remain as beautiful as the day he first etched them into your skin. This is what makes his tattoos, second to none. Keep in mind tattoos are permanent so you get what you pay for, & even though his price may seem high? It’s well worth the satisfaction you’ll have the rest of your life every time you look at that tattoo or show it off to a friend. His attention to detail, & respect for his clients is beyond admirable. So the price you pay, is well worth the service you’re receiving. I hope you love your new tattoo as much as he loves being your tattoo artist.

Anil and Angie are so great to work with. Anil's tattoos are the most beautiful, and all my friends and family who have his tattoos also love theirs. I get compliments all the time on mine. And Angie runs everything so smoothly to make sure all the details are taken care of. The best tattoo shop in NYC!

Very professional, his artwork lasts. I was at another studio and the man giving me a little tattoo called the shop owner to see Anil’s work. They both were amazed and admitted they couldn’t have done that..( When I shared this story with Anil he said he knew the man and had tattooed him😁)If you want a perfect work of art than Anil is your man. With a tattoo you get what you pay for.

I found Inkline and Anil through internet research, where his accolades are well described. My tattoo idea was extremely complex and I wanted an artist that could produce the artwork in its full detail. After my first consultation with Anil it was clear he was a true artisan and master of tattoo. His shop is part graphic design office, part tattoo art laboratory and of course a fully customized tattoo studio with lots of equipment he has built or modified himself. Many months and tattoo hours later I'm near the end of the work. The craftsmanship is as advertised with perfect detail. We have had to make adjustments along the way (eg recoloring sections) but that is to be expected with any major custom job, be it building a home, getting a bespoke suit or a custom tattoo. Anil can do any piece but in my opinion he is best for customers that know what they want, have art that will benefit from his ability for fine details and can be patient to get their tattoo done right. There are plenty of fine tattoo shops in New York that are either cheaper or easier to get into or both, and there is plenty of artwork for which those alternatives would be appropriate. But if you have something truly unique in mind and are ready to go on the journey to see it done at the highest level then Anil and Angie are the people to see. Oh yeah - they're lovely people to boot.

It's so unfortunate that even though Anil is such a skilled tattoo artist him and his wife Angie have no idea how to run a business. My husband went to Anil after I conducted an arduous internet search for tattoo masters in the NYC area. My husband put up with habitual tardiness, paid $700 etc all to walk away in search of another tattoo artist. Angie was unbelievable in asking him to hop through hoop, after hoop after hoop (a sample patch, a signed letter from a derm, a follow up to get physical copy etc) to satisfy some personal requirement that certainly was above and require by law to protect Inkline from any allergic reaction concerns. Obviously to be able to afford Anil's prices my husband has to be pretty gamely employed. His time clocks in at a pretty high value and having him running around all over manhattan during work hours just to get a green light for a tattoo is ridiculous. Unfortunately for Angie and Anil, it takes more than just tallent in NYC to make for a good studio. And there are plenty of other talented tattoo artists in our city alone who run more timely, considerate studios. We'll be heading there next and leaving a follow up review for comparison purposes.
