I’ve been getting tattooed by Andrew for over 5 years now and could not recommend him more! He’s great at his job and has really created a comfortable environment at Houndstooth, plus every tattoo he’s done for me is absolutely killer. If you’re not getting tattooed by Andrew you’re doing something wrong!

I got a tattoo from Gianna today while my daughter had another session with Joseph. Gianna was very patient and did exactly what I wanted. My daughter tattoo looks even more amazing after this session. All employees were fun and easy to talk to, the studio had a great vibe, comfortable and clean.

Got my first tattoo at Houndstooth at the beginning of November, and it couldn’t have been a better experience!! The design Andrew came up with was even better than I imagined, the shop was clean and comfortable, and as a first-timer, the aftercare instructions were easy to follow and the healing process has been a dream. I felt entirely at ease throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend Andrew and Houndstooth Tattoo, and will be singing their praises to anyone who asks (and maybe those who don’t)!

I got my first tattoo from Andrew in 2019 and have gotten 14 tattoos from him since! He’s an incredible tattooer and also just a really awesome dude. Houndstooth is a super chill and comfortable space and I recommend basically everyone there because my friends and I have only had great experiences with the artists there!

I have had a HORRIBLE experience at this shop. I live 3 hours away from Pennsylvania and have travelled twice for the consultation and the first session. Firstly I paid a deposit of 100 dollars prior to my appointment which went toward the cost of the tattoo. The total cost of my tattoo cover up was $500. Evan Bisso was my tattoo artist. I was supposed to get my cover up tattoo done in one session. Unfortunately, the tattoo cover up could not be completed in one session due to Evan's own personal reasons for him having to leave early. He was about 3/4 done with the work. He was very nice about it and I agreed to have another session with him 3 weeks later to continue the service. He insisted that I pay the remaining $400 for the tattoo the first session and since the $100 dollar deposit went toward the cost, he said I had to pay ZERO DOLLARS ($0) the second session. All in all I paid the full amount which was $500. Unfortunately I could not make the second session the day we planned for my own personal reasons. So it was agreed upon to meet 2 weeks later from the second session. Unluckily enough, a family member and I both got sick with the virus. I was only able to go the doctor the day of my appointment and found out we had the virus an hour before the appointment which was 12pm. The studio opens at 12pm. I called at 12pm and as soon as I found out. I talked to Erica Petrini, the studio manager, and she was very rude and unpleasant. I told her the circumstance with hopes of another reschedule and she told me that I would have to pay ANOTHER $100 deposit due to "wasting" Evan Bisso's time and that I should've called at least 24 hours before/sent an email or direct message. She explained that she would talk to Evan and that it would be up to his discretion if he would waive the additional $100 deposit. Erica calls me back within 15 minutes and explained that Evan Bisso and the owner would be willing to do the service but he is requiring the additional $100 deposit and it would then be refunded. l asked Erica, "where on the website does it say if you do not call within 24 hours of the appointment if you cannot show up, the deposit will be forfeited and an additional $100 will be required for a new appointment". She said "it is listed under the "FAQ" section on the website https://www.houndstoothtattoo.com/artists. This is a LIE and is NOWHERE to be found on the page. I told her I was sick and was only able to get to the doctors the day of the appointment. She says "you knew you were sick and could have contacted us prior to now". First off, I am not obligated to explain my medical history with her, but further more I was ASYMPTOMATIC and got the virus from a family member. I was doing the shop and other's a CURTEOUSY and was my duty to not still showing up with the virus to infect OTHERS. She was not empathetic AT ALL. In fact, she was very unprofessional and had a condescending tone. Erica explains, "I'm just letting you know sweetheart". "I'm not trying to be an asshole but this is our policy". I do not appreciate being talked to like that and I do not appreciate her tone. I will NEVER participate with Houndstooth Tattoo shop located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania AGAIN. This is such a shame because Evan Bisso had wonderful work and is very talented. It was the studio manager ERICA PETRINI that put a HORRIBLE taste in my mouth. Again, she is very rude, unprofessional, unpleasant and condescending. I do NOT recommend this place.
