As I’m sure you know, the post reached a lot of people on Facebook from Hope Lutze, who by the way is my best friend. But she is not the only person I know who was affected by Vern. I know you requested the post to be taken down which was a first red flag by you as the owner. The second red flag was hiding the comments then shutting the comments off. You are not allowing these men and women’s voices be heard and I find that distasteful. There are SO many people affected and you just silenced them. In some way, you are still protecting Vern. Doing this is just as bad as his actions. I don’t like that. Now, I have heard good things about Steve and the business itself aside from Vern but the way this whole site think was handled is making me second guess the good things I have heard. Vern may have made mistakes in the past & you looked past that, but as you clearly have known for many years, he has not changed. I know as a business owner, you seen the reviews & you have heard the complaints. Steve himself stated he has heard the complaints & has even apologized FOR Vern’s actions & you STILL allowed him to rent that space there. As a woman, I am truly disgusted by you silencing these women affected by that predator. As a tattoo customer myself, I am also disgusted that you are also brushing these men’s complaints about money taken & no tattoo done under the rug. Or a horrible job done with no refund. You need to take more accountability, stop protecting Vern. You’re making your business look bad now. It was Vern at first but now it’s how you’re handling this situation. DO BETTER. LET THESE WOMEN BE HEARD.

Steve is an amazing tattoo artist! I had a leg piece I was dying to get done for months, and I knew he was the right man for the job. Such beautiful line work and detail. He's also extremely friendly and made me feel completely comfortable. Looking forward to going back someday!!!

I’d like to start by saying Steve is wonderful and I will never go to anybody else again. 5 stars 10/10. Vern? WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I’ve been wanting my leg tattoo covered up for years, so I finally made the move. My initial consultation with Vern made me extremely uncomfortable, I was told I was being negative, for simply asking questions and trying to understand his tattooing vs what I’m used to. I was more and more anxious about going to my first appt, but I gave it a chance anyway. First appt was 5 hours. After almost that long, my body was about to explode. I made many comments about stopping or at least taking a break, and he just kept going. A man who is willing to keep you uncomfortable is a dangerous one. Second appt was set up for 8/20. I received this message on 8/15 asking if I was coming in. He clearly forgot his son’s birthday plans, so I had to flip my week upside down to try to be there another day. I had 8/20 on all 3 of my calendars. I am very particular about dates to keep my appts straight. I also planned on using the money from my side hustle, which I knew I would be getting that day. I had it all planned. (Notice how 8/20 is left out of his photo, too.) He stopped opening all my messages trying to re-schedule, until I said my child’s dad needed to know what was going on. How rude to be a narcissistic gaslighter and then affect everybody’s schedules because YOU screwed up. I make it work to come in yesterday. I’m fairly quiet for the 4.5 hours because I didn’t even wanna go, until I’m charged significantly more than the first appt, which was longer. He claimed he gave me a deal the first time. Ok. Whatever. Anyway, he dropped his gun in the middle of tattooing, it went flying onto my other leg, which apparently he thought was hilarious. I said nothing. I now have a black mark on my other leg that I did not ask for. Not to mention, his hand was very close to where it didn’t belong or need to be, which was already making me cringe during this time. I asked if he could take my $40 deposit off of this session because I had just bought a car and it would help me out. Instead of just saying no and explaining how he does things, he says, “Is this the last session?” “If I use your deposit, then I will need another $40 deposit.” I said that doesn’t make any sense, and he said exactly. Attitude is -1000/10. Cocky. Annoying. Unprofessional. Judging by the Google reviews and word of mouth, this isn’t news. You can get better work for cheaper elsewhere as well. Will not be back for my 3rd session. Vern, since you won’t open any messages regarding my appt, this is your notification to cancel it. And then go ahead and block me, since that’s what you do instead of owning up to what you did. If you’ve ever heard bad things about this guy, believe it. I wish I had.
