I got tattooed at Good Luck by Swasthik (@gunga_ma on Instagram) and it was such a pleasant and fulfilling experience. I’ve been following Swasi for many years now and never thought I’d be able to get tattooed by her. I was thrilled to find that she had moved to the US at a shop that is packed with so much talent and I wholeheartedly recommend booking with her!

I’ve gotten two tattoos at Good Luck and will likely be back. The space and atmosphere are welcoming and there are a lot of great artists who are housed there. If you want to get tattooed here you need to make an appointment in advance with an artist directly. I got work done from Swassi (@gunga_ma) and Henbo who is a co-owner of the shop. Swassi immediately helped me feel comfortable for my first “larger” tattoo with a big hug and warm welcome. She gave me honest advice about placement and guided me to a decision I was really happy with. I was impressed with how quickly she was able to work, getting my palm sized tattoo done in what felt like 20 minutes. Swassi was very accommodating with my schedule - I only contacted her 2 days before my appointment and she was able to squeeze in a brand new client. From Henbo I requested a custom hand sized piece based on an image I gave him - to be done in his style. After a brief consultation Henbo created exactly the image I had in my mind. He was also a great hang. He is one of the folks that runs the shop and I even commented to him, it seems like he got all his friends to work together that all like cool art. If anyone I knew wanted to get tattooed in NYC, I would point them to Good Luck.

I scheduled my tattoo with Kiku (@Kikupunk) a few months out, I was very nervous since this was my first time traveling for a tattoo, and it was a cover up, but Kiku knocked it out of the park! He was quick, friendly, and incredibly talented. The energy at the shop was immaculate. It was laidback, but still professional. The shop itself was a little difficult to find, but it was pristine. If it wasn't for the sounds of the tattoo guns, I would've thought i walked into someone's office! I will definitely be coming back to see kiku in the future

Me and my husband drove from GA to Newyork to receive custom work from Swasthik (@gunga_ma on instagram), and we loved the journey through and through. We couldn’t wait for her to come to the US and bring her talents to the east coast. Her creativity and dedication to her unique flavor of Kolam style designs and her gift for blending multi cultural elements is absolutely outstanding. She is such an asset to the Good Luck NYC team! What stood out most to me is her willingness to work through difficult designs and clever ways of working with the organic anatomy and creating strong and flattering designs. For reference, I received a full chest tattoo and breast tattoos all the way on to the areola and as a mom who has breastfed, it was so important that my breast tattoos fit my anatomy in a flattering way. Believe me, she nailed it! I feel so powerful and my tattoos compliment me so well. Thank you so much and I’m looking forward to our next session 🫶🏽🤍
