It's not really about the tattoo studio, but more the tattoo artist. Matt has been tattooing me for 4 years now and he never disappoints! He does amazing watercolor, black and white and just simple line designs. I would recommend him over any artist in Erie. Even living out in North East, he's 100% worth the drive.

In response to the "you got the wrong place" reply....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I WENT THERE FOUR TIMES! You're the little shop with a waiting room, a room to the side of that, two stations in the back after you walk through where the "kitchen" and bathrooms are, where the road splits on 20 just before the big hill (if you're heading west) at Manchester! I'm VERY CERTAIN that THIS IS THE RIGHT PLACE! I believe the artist's name was Nick and if he's not there anymore good for you on that decision, but to try to gaslight me into saying that I don't know where I got my tattoo is absolute nonsense!!! It doesn't matter how long ago it was... there's no "you can only leave a bad review in a certain amount of time" rules. It's funny how I have bank transactions that have your information on them, but "didn't get my tattoo there." An owner of a business not being able to accept that not every customer has a good experience at their facility is dumbfounding. The only reason my review is worthless to you is because it isn't a positive one. Maybe you, as a business owner, should understand that not everyone is going to have a positive experience but to bash someone who's giving their honest experience is completely unprofessional. I'm not writing a review for you, I'm writing it for OTHER CUSTOMERS. You're taking a bad experience into a worse, because I left a review? A good business owner would have said "Hey, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience, please feel free to reach out if there's anything I can do to help change your mind". Me reading reviews would have definitely felt the business was positive, even in a negative situation...but if the reply is "your review is worthless" I'm definitely not giving that place my business. YOU should be embarrassed. But proving my point that as my original review stated "wouldn't recommend." Wouldn't recommend. I was so excited to get an old tattoo covered up. I called and the owner didn't have availability for a while so I went with a different artist. I set up an appointment for a consultation, and then was called and asked to come at a later time, I responded that I'd have to bring my kids and was assured it was ok. Obviously the artist was annoyed that my kids were there, and he didn't even look at my original tattoo, I traveled 45 minutes to do something that could have been done over the phone. I explained what I wanted, and on the day of my appointment I came in to nothing like we had talked about. I gave him 4 flowers, he picked one out. I asked for zodiacs in the shape of a heart...he later told me my heart was "garbage" and the zodiac wasn't even the right one (it was). So the artist eventually came up with an idea I loved. When he sent me the artwork I mentioned that the zodiac stars were not correct, and that it looked weird...maybe a border around it would look better. He ignored the border question and said he'd fix the stars. He didn't. I mentioned the stars again when I got there and saw nothing had changed and he fixed it. I asked again about the border and he said "yeah, we can add a border at a later time." Ok. So the tattoo process itself was awful. I had blood dripping down my back, he was certainly not light on the hand. I had to split it into two sessions because I couldn't handle it all at once. I had a $600 gift certificate, which he knew from the first visit, and I tipped $200 all on the first visit. That's about a 32% tip. So on my 2nd tattoo visit he says something about payment. I said I already tipped you..and he asked if we talked about price. I said I told you I had a $600 gift certificate and you didn't say anything else regarding it being more. The tattoo itself is not good. The heart outline is so bad and you can clearly see what was supposed to be covered up. So, yes, I did get a tattoo there, had a terrible experience and would never recommend to anyone to go. Hope my review isn't "worthless"!

I had the BEST experience at code of honor! The environment was relaxing and fun, Matt is an extremely talented, professional and attentive artist. The shop is so clean and the tattoo station was incredibly sanitary. Matt really takes the time to maintain cleanliness throughout the appointment. Booking was a breeze- the online system was convenient and the process was simple to book an appointment, pay and read consent info. In addition to the shop itself- my tattoo was a cover up and is everything I wanted and more. My old tattoo is completely gone. The attention to detail and artistry Matt put into my piece is a 12/10. I cannot recommend Code of Honor enough! Thanks guys!
