On an epic 3 generation trip to NYC, my daughter, two granddaughters and myself decided to get commemorative tattoos of our adventure. A friend of a friend suggested Baz at Clash City Tattoo and we couldn't have been more pleased with our experience! The vibe spanned the generations, the shop was cool and Baz, plus his crew, couldn't have been more welcoming! We had sent our Tattoo choices ahead of our visit and he did a great job with sizing, placement and overall professionalism. Plus he was fun! We ranged in ages from 22 to 73 and we all agreed that it was the perfect place for us to commemorate our trip with tattoos! Thanks Baz!

Listen, I have both tattoos and anxiety, and maybe everyone else in the world walks into tattoo shops (or anywhere else) and feels immediately at ease and not at all intimidated, but in the event there's even one other anxious person trying to get some tattoos, let me go ahead and put this on the internet – Clash City's the right shop for you. I knew conceptually what I wanted (a Clash tattoo, fittingly), but I don't live in the city or even on the right coast, so I had to do everything over email. Even that – sending a cold email to a total stranger who you want to permanently mark your body – takes some ~psyching up for me, but once I jumped that mental hurdle at Clash City, I didn't encounter it again, because not only is Baz cool, he's also easy to work with and easy to talk to. We nailed down a design over email and he worked around my work schedule/flights, which meant I was getting tattooed on a Friday the 13th. I got to watch Baz and his crew compete (and, like, definitely medal) in the Olympics of Patience as the line grew longer as people got off work, and not once did any of them sound aggravated or snappish or too cool or whatever other bad scene could've formed in a situation like that. My own tattoo was exactly what I wanted, healed well, and Baz's touch is light enough that I actually noticed how light it was. They do all sorts of styles (like The Clash does all sorts of music, like deliberately, which is a cool premise for a shop). For the other anxious people pre-planning every bit of their tattoo-getting, including how you're gonna fill a bunch of hours with a stranger and their inky needle machine, we talked about stuff like The Buzzcocks and Doctor Who (...and The Clash) – Baz and everyone else working that day were Genuinely Nice People totally uninterested in making other people feel small by making themselves look cooler. He even made sure after I left that I knew where the Joe Strummer mural was and to not to forget to check it out. Would recommend and will be back! Thanks, Baz!

Baz and the team at Clash City will do you right. Have two traditional American pieces from Baz and couldn't be happier with the process and the results. From conception to placement to execution, a great experience. Willing to talk over ideas and find the right piece. The vibe is welcoming and cool - kind folks doing good work.

did a walk in for two tattoos, the place was clean, well decorated. The artist, Barry, Baz, not sure, was helpful kind and funny. Service was comfortable, efficient and reasonably priced. 10/10 would go again!

I LOVE MY TATTOO! Baz is wonderful! I went in and wanted a tattoo in honor of my loved one and he gave me exactly what I wanted. His talent and expertise is 100% on point. The staff is super friendly, the shop is very clean, and the atmosphere is super groovy.:) I highly recommend Clash City Tattoo. I definitely will be going back for more!.
