This place was great!! The energy was awesome, all the artists were super cool and the place seemed super clean! I loved my artist, Olivia, she was absolutely amazing and the tattoo came out even better than I imagined.

I planned to travel to New Orleans to get a tattoo. I set up my appointment for two hours, and when I changed it to the free tattoo option, my appointment got changed to 4 o’clock on a Wednesday. Mind you, I had told DOMINIC that I leave early on Thursday, and that this tattoo would be the hallmark of my trip. DOMINIC booked the appointment, However, he didn’t inform me that he had court on that day and that he could possibly not come into work because court could drag on for hours as it usually does. So two hours before my appointment, I get a message saying your appointment has been canceled. Your artist is not gonna be able to make it out of court. Mind you they don’t ever pick up their phones and ask you to leave a message so leaving a message for me was pointless because I leave the next day and what is a callback gonna do for me? If I had canceled my appointment two hours before the day, I would’ve been charged because this place does not let you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment. However, it is perfectly OK for them to cancel on you two hours before your appointment when you’ve been building your entire trip around this occasion. A responsible tattoo artist like my tattoo artist at home would tell me I have court on Wednesday I might not be able to make it in. Would you be willing to come at a later time on Tuesday? He never did that. He booked the appointment and didn’t care about whether he was gonna be able to make it or not. I’ve never felt so disrespected and hurt by a business that I really was looking forward to working with. I would sooner go get a tattoo from a homeless person on the streets, whose needle is infested with HIV then ever go back to this shop. I own a business back home, and if I know I might not be able to be there. I let the customers know that and I take measures to make sure that my customers are taken care of.. DOMINIC didn’t care about taking care of his customer. Stay away from this shop. Especially if you’re an out of towner they don’t care about your time. They don’t care about what you have to do. If you’re getting a free tattoo and you’re not paying, they couldn’t care less whether they cancel you or not. I have never left a review in my life for any business positive or negative, but being treated like this forced me to write about this terrible tattoo shop and the way they treat their customers. I went in to get a tattoo, and Dom was as hyped about it as I was. I was able to talk with the staff about improving the design and he even suggested better colors for it. The atmosphere was friendly and that tattoo turned out absolutely fantastic. Additionally they had a dedication to cleanliness that I haven't even heard of in a tattoo parlor. Highly highly highly reccomend.

Have you ever found a tattoo parlor so comfortable and filled with such fantastic people that you want to hang out there every day? That's Catahoula Tattoo. The space is bright and clean, filled with the buzz of tattoo guns and eclectic music, and the aroma of a freshly brewed pot of coffee. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly skilled. They're appointment only, but you can schedule individually or a group party. You can't go wrong getting permanent artwork from any of them, but I highly recommend Olivia for her intricate, fine linework.

DO NOT GO HERE. UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL. The shop’s printer broke and they were unable to keep my appointment time. I waited almost two hours for them to try to fix it and asked multiple times if they would be able to reschedule my appointment (I was only going to be in New Orleans for another day with no plans to return in the near future). Since they were unable to give me a definitive answer after waiting for so long, I asked for a refund since they were unable to provide the service I paid for or reschedule my appointment. They denied my request for a refund and I’ve asked to speak with the owner of the shop who has not returned my call almost two days later. The point of a deposit is to protect to artists from clients canceling or no showing. By my artist, Olivia’s, own admission, this was entirely the shop’s fault. The refusal to refund when they could neither provide the service nor reschedule shows utter disrespect and disregard for their clients. Their lack of communication is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I am so disappointed by how I was treated and cannot in good faith recommend this shop.
