Caesar's Under Your Skin Tattoo & Piercing Introduce

When searching for "Tattoo Shops Near Me" in Cortland, NY, Caesar's Under Your Skin Tattoo & Piercing, located at 7 Clinton Ave, Cortland, NY 13045, USA, is one option that appears. To provide local users with a comprehensive understanding of what to expect, it's essential to consider the range of experiences reported by recent customers. The reviews present a somewhat contrasting picture, highlighting both positive aspects of individual artists and significant concerns regarding the shop's environment and overall professionalism.

One positive review mentions a tattoo experience with an artist named Mike. This customer, who had two tattoos done by Mike, described him as "very nice" and communicative, particularly during their first tattoo. Mike reportedly explained the aftercare instructions well and was attentive to the client's comfort during the second tattoo, offering breaks when needed. Furthermore, this reviewer noted that Mike was "very sanitary" and sanitized his station after the client sat down, allowing them to witness the process. This positive feedback suggests that at least one artist at Caesar's Under Your Skin Tattoo & Piercing is capable of providing a good tattooing experience with attention to hygiene and client comfort.

However, another, more extensive recent review paints a considerably different picture of Caesar's Under Your Skin Tattoo & Piercing. This customer's experience began with observations of a "dark and dirty" environment, noting unswept and unmopped floors, smudged and dusty display cases with what appeared to be old and picked-over jewelry, and a waiting area couch described as "absolutely gross." The presence of a cat in the shop was also mentioned as a potential hygiene concern.

This same reviewer also reported issues with appointment management. Despite arriving on time, they were informed that the artist they had scheduled with had decided to take on a second tattoo for another client, cutting into their appointment time. The subsequent delays and rescheduling attempts led to a significantly later start than planned. The reviewer also noted the absence of a transfer printer, with the artist hand-tracing the design, which they found unusual for a "legit shop."

Upon finally being taken to the tattoo station, the reviewer's concerns about cleanliness were reportedly amplified. They described the tray with ink, paper towels, green soap, and the machine as "absolutely gross" with a layer of fur and dust. Further observations included cobwebs, dirty walls, and very dirty floors. The massage-type bed was described as old and cracked, with a dirty surrounding area cluttered with papers and debris. This detailed account raises significant concerns about the hygiene and organization of the tattooing environment at Caesar's Under Your Skin Tattoo & Piercing.

The reviewer also expressed serious concerns about the artist's behavior during the tattooing process, alleging that the artist appeared to be nodding off multiple times and seemed incoherent. The reviewer ultimately cut the session short due to these concerns and was dissatisfied with the final tattoo, describing the lines as shaky and noting missed details and creative liberties taken by the artist. A significant discrepancy in the quoted price versus what the reviewer felt the tattoo was worth based on their experience led to a refusal to pay the full amount.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to provide a uniformly positive or negative introduction to Caesar's Under Your Skin Tattoo & Piercing. While one customer reported a satisfactory experience with an artist named Mike, highlighting his professionalism and attention to hygiene, another recent customer detailed a profoundly negative experience characterized by a dirty environment, unprofessional conduct, and a concerning lack of attention to the tattooing process.

For local users searching for "Tattoo Shops Near Me" in Cortland, NY, Caesar's Under Your Skin Tattoo & Piercing presents a complex picture. The positive feedback regarding Mike suggests that some artists at the studio may provide quality service. However, the detailed negative review raises serious red flags about the shop's overall cleanliness, professionalism, and potentially the consistency of service quality. Prospective clients should be aware of these conflicting reports and may want to exercise caution or seek further information before booking an appointment.

Given the significant concerns raised in one of the recent reviews, it would be prudent for potential clients to inquire directly about the studio's hygiene practices, the experience and reputation of their chosen artist, and the overall environment before committing to a tattoo or piercing at Caesar's Under Your Skin Tattoo & Piercing. Visiting the shop beforehand to assess the conditions might also be a worthwhile step based on the discrepancies in the customer feedback.

As the provided information does not include any specific promotional details, it is impossible to comment on any current offers. Local users interested in Caesar's Under Your Skin Tattoo & Piercing should contact them directly at (607) 793-8520 or mobile phone at +1 607-793-8520 to inquire about services, artist availability, pricing, and to address any concerns they may have based on the varied customer experiences reported online. In conclusion, while there are some positive mentions of individual artists, the serious allegations of uncleanliness and unprofessional behavior in a recent review warrant careful consideration by anyone looking for tattoo or piercing services at Caesar's Under Your Skin Tattoo & Piercing in Cortland, NY.

Had both my tattoos done by Mike: my one on my shoulder was my very first tattoo. Was talking me through it and was very nice. Did my second one and would constantly ask if I needed a break when he notice me twitching. Explained after care for tattoo well. Was very sanitary and sanitized everything after I sat down so I could watch him do it

Took a visit to Caesars under your skin recently. Ignoring bad reviews, because this tattoo shop is very close to me. I also believed the image I had was quite simple. I came in right on time. Immediately, I notice how dark and dirty everything is. Seems they haven't swept or mopped the floor in some time. The glass display case was covered in smudges and dust. The jewelry they had in the case is extremely old, outdated, picked through, and covered in dust. The couch in the waiting area looked to be older than the shop itself. Absolutely gross, I wouldn't sit down on it. There was an adorable cat, but he doesn't belong in that environment getting fur all over everything. I was told by the guy in the front room (possibly owner, possibly front desk manager) that the artist I made an appointment with decided to do a second tattoo for someone else. Cutting into my time. I tried to be understanding and asked how long he'd be. He said about an hour, so I go back home. Being that I live close by. I get a call an hour later, stating he's still tattooing. It'll be another half hour or so. I ask to reschedule, because it's already 3 in the evening. The artist isn't going to be doing his best work anymore. The guy at the front desk says he's fine. Urges me to keep the appointment and come back in. Again, being my image is simple. So I agreed to come back in. I get back to the shop at 3:40. He was still tattooing the other person. So I decided to wait there. We finally started my piece at 5 because he did not use a transfer printer. He hand traced the design. I've never been to a legit shop, where they didn't have or use legit equipment. I'm finally walked back to the 1 tattoo station there. Again, I immediately notice how dirty everything is. The tray with ink, paper towels, green soap, and the machine. Is absolutely gross. Needs to be aggressively cleaned. There was a layer of fur and dust over practically everything. Cobwebs on the ceiling, dirty walls, and very dirty floors. The massage type bed he had was clearly very old. It had many cracks, the wall around it was clearly dirty, and underneath it was a bunch of stuff, garbage, and dirt. The surrounding area was just as dirty. With piles of papers and other stuff. Very unorganized, very unprofessional. At this point they should hire a professional cleaner to scrub the grime from this place, if possible. He told me to get comfortable, so I sat down. Usually, a tattoo artist will tell you which way to sit or lean for their optimal position. He asked where I wanted it. After showing him, he put some stencil transfer stuff on the spot and placed the stencil on my leg. He did not clean my leg or shave it. Thank goodness I shaved the spot before coming in. Getting into the piece, his hand didn't look very steady. There were moments I could feel him going too deep. After about 15 minutes tattooing my leg, the guy legitimately starts to nod out. It happens once, twice, then I ask him if he's alright. He barely responded, shook his head a bit and mumbled he's fine. He started to nod out a third, fourth, then the fifth time the brim of his hat touched my leg. He snapped up as if someone julted him awake. I asked if we could reschedule the rest of the piece, he seemed out of it. He literally refused. Now I've been to many festivals, I've been around many people extremely high. Seeing him go from being slumped to completely awake, I'm pretty confident there were some other substances messing with him. The tattoo only took around 40 minutes. Probably would have been faster if he had been more coherent. The piece resembles what I brought in, but it looks quite different. The lines are shaky in some spots. He missed multiple things in a simple drawing and took creative liberties when he wiped away the stencil. I gave him $40, but they wanted $150. I refused to pay that explaining my experience and showing the image I brought in next to the piece he did. When there were no objections to what I said and showed him I left. Overall horrible experience. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

After the first round the Tattoo needed to be fixed. When traced over the word was not aligned and now the tattoo has layers and looks more smudged than it should. The place is also extremely dirty
