American Tattoo Society of Ft. Benning Introduce

For local users in search of premier body art services, particularly within the "Tattoo Shops Near Me" category, the American Tattoo Society of Ft. Benning presents itself as a notable option. Situated at 9220 Marne Rd, Fort Moore, GA 31905, USA, this establishment can be reached at (706) 243-1104 or via mobile at +1 706-243-1104. While online information provides a glimpse into their offerings and customer experiences, a comprehensive understanding can be gleaned by examining the available feedback.

Based on customer reviews, the environment at American Tattoo Society of Ft. Benning appears to be welcoming and professional. One reviewer enthusiastically mentions the "incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and just a joy to talk with" front counter staff, highlighting a positive initial interaction and efficient planning process. This suggests a customer-centric approach from the moment of inquiry and scheduling.

In terms of services, the shop seems to specialize, or at least heavily feature, American traditional tattooing. Positive feedback specifically praises the work of artists Ian and Melvin, describing their work as "phenomenal." The reviewer noted that these artists "really took the time to ensure I was getting exactly what I wanted," emphasizing their dedication to fulfilling client visions. Their professionalism and talent are also underscored, indicating a high level of artistic skill and client interaction.

A significant feature highlighted in the positive review is the strong communication practices of the shop. The front counter proactively contacts clients a day or two before appointments to confirm details, demonstrating attentiveness and respect for the client's time. Furthermore, they follow up a few days after the tattoo session to check on the healing process, showcasing a commitment to aftercare and customer well-being. This level of communication contributes to a positive and reassuring experience for clients.

However, it is crucial to present a balanced perspective by considering less favorable reviews. One customer explicitly advises those seeking styles beyond American traditional to "look elsewhere." This suggests a potential limitation in the stylistic versatility offered at the studio, which might not cater to individuals seeking realism or other tattoo genres. This reviewer also expresses dissatisfaction with the respect for their time and suggests that those with prior experience at well-regarded tattoo shops might find their experience lacking.

Further elaborating on negative experiences, the same reviewer details issues with scheduling, including discrepancies between the initially agreed-upon date and a subsequent call moving the appointment. The reviewer also mentions a perceived lack of professionalism in interactions and expresses frustration with a booking error attributed to staff. Additionally, the experience included an hour-long wait past the scheduled appointment time, which is a significant concern regarding time management and respect for clients.

Another customer who sought a realistic piece also reported being pressured to opt for the American traditional style, despite explicitly stating their preference. This highlights a potential disconnect between the shop's preferred style and the client's desired outcome. While this customer did acknowledge a prompt initial email response, the positive aspects seemingly ended there. The issues encountered included a considerable wait time (an hour after the scheduled appointment) and concerns about the artist's technique, specifically regarding ink saturation, leading to the expectation of needing a touch-up elsewhere. This customer also reported being charged an unexpected additional fee at the time of payment, resulting in overall disappointment and a decision not to return.

Considering these varied experiences, potential local users of the "Tattoo Shops Near Me" platform should weigh the positive feedback regarding customer service and skill in American traditional tattooing against the reported issues with stylistic limitations, scheduling inconsistencies, wait times, and unexpected charges. While some clients have had overwhelmingly positive experiences, particularly those seeking American traditional designs and appreciating proactive communication, others have encountered significant drawbacks.

As promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews, it is challenging to detail specific offers or discounts. However, the positive review serves as an indirect promotion, highlighting the helpful staff, talented artists (Ian and Melvin), and excellent communication. Conversely, the negative reviews implicitly suggest areas where the shop could improve its service to ensure greater customer satisfaction.

In conclusion, American Tattoo Society of Ft. Benning appears to be a tattoo shop that excels in American traditional tattooing and prioritizes customer communication for those seeking this particular style. The positive feedback underscores a friendly environment and skilled artists within this specific niche. However, prospective clients looking for other styles should be aware of the reported pressure to conform to American traditional designs. Additionally, reported issues concerning scheduling accuracy, punctuality, and billing transparency warrant consideration. Local users are encouraged to consider these factors when making their decision and perhaps contact the shop directly to discuss their specific needs and expectations.

Absolutely love coming and getting work done at this shop! The front counter is always incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and just a joy to talk with while getting everything planned out. The artists that I’ve worked with (Ian and Melvin) did phenomenal work and really took the time to ensure I was getting exactly what I wanted. They are both very professional and extremely talented artists. The communication with everyone in the shop is fantastic (I tend to be forgetful) the front counter calls a day or two prior to my scheduled appointment to confirm availability and time, they also call and check on the healing process a few days after the tattoo. Would 110% recommend coming and getting work done here

TL;DR: Look elsewhere for tattoos if you want anything other than american traditional. Your time won't be respected, and you will probably be disappointed if you have experienced a great tattoo shop before. EDIT: Yikes, I'm sorry I even went here after dealing with this poor customer service before, during, and after. I did not take a customer card because I scheduled it in my phone in the shop when I paid my appointment fee, it was made clear I could only do Sundays, not Fridays, which is what Megan understood, or seemed to understand when I talked to her face to face. She also joked about me leaving work "to go to an appointment." When I was called on a Thursday saying my appointment was on a Friday and i asked to speak to a manager, Megan got on the phone and said she remembered that I could only do Sundays and it was a mistake on her part. At no time was a Friday appointment ever discussed until I was called. Don't pass the buck back to me for not taking a card as if that wouldn't have happened if i had taken a card. I absolutely wanted to cancel because if you can't book a client when the client wants to be booked, they will take their business somewhere else. That's how that works. If you had told me "$600 or $700" I would have had you nail down a price, I don't do price ranges like that. Any business will always go with the higher number, but $700 was never stated. Your response also glosses over the fact that I had to wait for an hour after my appointment time to get started. If my wife ran her small business the way yall do, she probably wouldn't have any clients. I came to this studio looking for a realistic piece. I sent an email with the image and received a prompt response, which is better than every other shop in the area that I also tried to go to. That's about where the good stopped. I was pressured twice to get the image I requested in American traditional style, which I made clear that I DID NOT like. Finally, I had to ask for their artist profiles and suggest someone who didn't ONLY do American traditional. I came in to get my appointment scheduled. I was quoted 600 bucks and paid 100 bucks to reserve my appointment. A few days later, I got a call that my appointment was the next day, but when I scheduled, it wasn't for another 3 weeks. When the day of my appointment came, I showed up about 10 minutes early to fill out the waiver. Then I waited....and waited....and waited. The artist didn't begin working on me until an hour after my scheduled appointment. The artist was pretty good, but i noticed that he wasn't putting in enough ink in, and the color will not stick, not my first rodeo.... There are spots that he just didn't do, and I'm only a few days out from my tattoo, and I can tell I will need another session. Unfortunately, I will not be able to get a session here because I am leaving. When I went to settle up and pay, they charged me an EXTRA hundred bucks. I'm disappointed, and I won't ever go to another one of these again.

Absolutely love the kindness and care given to customers. Front desk workers are amazing. Ian was my artist and he was absolutely amazing and I’m in love with my 14th wedding anniversary tattoo he did. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for him and getting more of his wonderful work in the future. Thank you Ian!!!!

ATS Fort Moore deserves every bit of praise they get. My husband and our friends decided to get a set of matching tattoos, and we were able to get in with Ian who’s currently a visiting artist. From the front desk staff (shoutout to Megan and AZ) to Ian himself and the rest of the artists on staff, we were blown away by their professionalism, positive energy, attitude, friendliness, and overall accommodations. My husband and I had brought our 11 month old and 5 year old along for the affair, and everyone on staff was absolutely wonderful with them. Ian is INCREDIBLY talented, and we hope to see him back at Fort Moore soon!

*posting under husbands google* I absolutely love my tattoo. My husband and son got their tattoos done here. I have wanted my tattoo I got for years now. Once I saw how nice the artists work was, how friendly everyone is, the knowledge everyone had, and the cleanliness of the shop no brainer I was going to book with this shop. Jhon is very talented. I will definitely be going back to them.
