The staff here is so cool and down to earth! Cloud is an amazing person and piercer! First time my husband and I went, Cloud did his lobes and a helix ring (I think is what it is) on me. They explained everything in great detail and was great with casual conversation as well. Didn’t feel like we just met. I went in again tonight (about a month later) and had both second/upper lobes done. Again, everyone was kind. When it came time for the piercings, Cloud again explained how they were going to do each ear, let me check placement dots before putting the earrings in. Was so kind throughout the whole thing. They are as gentle as one can be with something like that. They also really wanted to make sure I felt okay before we left the room and when we got to the lobby as I mentioned being slightly worried about passing out. Thankfully that wasn’t an issue! Thank you to everyone there! I’m so glad we came here a month ago! That reminds me, Cloud also took the time to check on and clean my ring piercing up a little bit and took the time to answer a few questions about that as well. Thank you again everyone!

Went in with my mom for a rim piercing each. Since I’m 17 and don’t have the same last name or address they wouldn’t allow me to get pierced. Not a big deal it’s some policy they have to follow. So my mom pays $40 as a “deposit” then AFTER we already paid the deposit, then she’s told she will have to pay another $108 after she gets pierced. My mom decided it wasn’t worth it because a CARTILAGE piercing for $148 is insane. Not like it was a fancy piece of jewelry either. So, she asked for her $40 back. The cashier at the front went back to talk to the manager who is also the piercer 3 TIMES and we waited almost 30 min just to be told no refund. The manager never spoke to us once. Just very unprofessional and seemed a little scammy with charging us more than they said they were going to after we paid the deposit.

Got three piercings and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. Cloud let me know what she was going to do before she did it and was super fast and accurate! I love my new piercings and will definitely be back to get more!!

I visited the store in October with my daughter, her 2 daughters, and 1 additional granddaughter. We were all excited to get our ears pierced together, but our hopes were soon dashed. It is not as easy as it used to be to get this service done. First off, the girls needed to have their birth certificates with them which we were only able to provide for 2 of the 3 girls. So, that stopped one child from getting this service. I also had a permission note from my daughter-in-law with me for my extra granddaughter, but this was not acceptable either. They said that her parent must be with her. So, now 2 girls couldn't. My daughter wasn't about to get hers pierced because her girls were so excited to do so and now couldn't, so she chose to wait until later. Little did we know but this decision was a blessing in disguise. We decided that I would go ahead with my piercing so the girls (two age 6 and one 7) could watch and see how brave I was. Prior to the piercing, you pay a non-refundable $40 service fee which applies to the purchase afterwards. They also offer to "pierce one ear, get one ear free", and quoted one price when selecting the earring. The piercing went well. The room was clean, the utensils were all wrapped prior to using them, and the staff wore latex gloves. I actually felt like I was in a doctor's office. So far, so good. However, this whole process of the conversation and piercing took 1-1/2 hours, which a lot of time was spent with waiting on the staff (in a store that had no other customers!). Then I paid. I was in shock at the final price which, just for me, came to over $232.64! And I selected very small, simple earrings with the flat backs. Thank God, that we didn't have the other 4 in my party pierced! I'm not that old, but in the past when I bought a set of earrings, there was one price. Those days are over in an Almost Famous Body Piercing store. Their ear-piercing price has a different amount for the front of the left ear, the front of the right ear, and then the back of each ear. 4 prices for one set of earrings! This information was never given to us ahead of time and I felt their sales procedures were very deceiving. Well, I can't un-do the piercing, so I had to pay this outrageous price. The store said that once the swelling went down that all I needed to do was return to the store, and they would shorten the posts for free. Well, they fooled me again, because when I returned to get the posts shortened it cost me another $43. Their explanation being, "there was no service fee, but I had to buy two more posts", of course at a ridiculous price! Had I known that the overall piercing would cost this much, I would not have done it at Almost Famous. The girls that work there were kind but inefficient, often times taking 3 of them to help 1 person, and leaving the person they were helping to wait on another. So, reluctantly, I gave this review a 3, only because the store was well kept, and the piercing itself went well. If their pricing doesn't concern you, and you allow 2+ hours each time you step in their door, then you will probably do fine using them. But I would tread lightly, even when you assume there should be no price attached, there may still be.

Last Friday I did Navel piercing and it was good experience the piercerwas so nice . I also bought nose ring , when I get home I tried it and it didn't fit so today I went there to exchange the nose ring but the other lady said she can't do that because of the policy , I told her I don't want the ring , and I gave it to her and she took it , she didn't even say no . I was surprised. Any way I lost $ 29,99 for nothing.
