Got a tattoo here yesterday and couldn’t get happier. Gavin took my inspiration and designed a beautiful tattoo. He was extremely professional and had a nice touch. I almost fell asleep during the process. The shop itself is very cool and everyone there is super friendly and inviting. 10/10 recommend

Dan Henk at Abyss Fine Arts and Tattoo Studio is incredible! He’s been working on my arm, and the attention to detail and artistry he brings to each session is outstanding. The studio has a great vibe, and Dan makes the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch tattoo work!

Been seeing Dan for years! Hard to find a better artist out there. His work is impeccable. But he actually takes the time to get to know you and understand what it is you want to get in your tattoo. He doesn't just slap some shit on you and take your money. He goes over what it is you're trying to accomplish and discusses what works and what doesn’t work in a tattoo. Highly recommend.

Amazing staff and high quality work. I've been getting tattooed by Dan for almost 20 years now and I will not go anywhere else. Shop is always clean and the artists are pros that will not disappoint. Highly recommended.

To start, I’m a walk in, I know exactly what I want but the person who did my tattoo Ronan, did not agree with what I wanted, understandable, I found another piece that would work better and that he was comfortable with too. However he still sat there for 20 minutes looking for something else (as if it was something he was putting on his own body). My first point is, as an artist, if I’m not comfortable doing something, I communicate that, he even told me that the tattoo style that I wanted was “not his thing”, and in my head all I can think is (I don’t really care if you would put it on your own body, I’m giving you my money, it’s either you can do it or you can’t) . Second, pricing, I got an original price over the phone for 200-250. Somewhat reasonable, and I can also say this is partially my fault because I did not contact enough artists to find the perfect artist for me. He’s started the tattoo and he’s done in about 45 minutes to complete, and he charges me $320 (mind you he said he charges based on how long the work takes). But he charged me 320 dollars for LINE WORK. A 6x 3 inch tattoo (no color except black) that consists of lines and no shading AT ALL. Several artists since have told me they would have charged $150. Not sure if he overcharged me because he thought I was dumb or because he thought I wouldn’t tip him (which I did: $70). Whatever, the pricing is my fault because I knew he was scamming me but I didn’t want to argue because it was 8pm on a Sunday night. My BIGGEST problem, is the fact that I paid almost 400 dollars for a tatto that now (a month later) is blown out in some spots and the lines are incomplete/ missing some ink/ saturation throughout the tattoo. I love the content of the tattoo, and he COULD have done a good job, he just decided to be lazy.
