Called first to ask availability for a walk-in, same-day appointment. I was 2 miles away. They said they had time immediately and to come in. I got there and was greeted by friendly and professional folks. I showed them the simple designs I had in mind, and Tanya started drawing them up, making sure everything was symmetrical, checking several times to ensure it was perfect, and was applying ink to skin in 90 minutes. Her work wasn't fast, but she was gentle, did a thorough job using a very quiet machine, and after 1½ hours, the tattoos were done. I have several tattoos, and though simple, and only black, I dare say these are perfect. I would highly recommend Tanya at Aardvark.

The staff was amazing and friendly, very attentive, and showed interest in what I wanted and making sure I was happy and well taken care of. My artist was amazing. Her work was precise and on point. I am 100% satisfied in every area around this shop. I have found my new spot to get the tattoo that I want. I also loved how they take pride in the pieces they do and also treat their clients like family. I couldn't say enough good about this place and am already planning my next piece.

I had a really good experience with Tanya, getting my first tattoo. I was a bit nervous, but it was completely unwarranted. Most importantly, she's an extremely talented artist, but she was also quick to put me at ease. I was confident very quickly that I was in good hands. Also, the shop is very clean, and the owner and other staff all seemed friendly and happy to be there.

I was excited to find some great jewelry here, but unfortunately, they were the wrong size. One set of tunnel plugs was labeled 5/8, but was really 9/16, which was too small. The smaller tunnels that I also purchased was marked as 6g, but was actually 4g. While their prices are good, it's not so good when you receive not just one, but two wrong sizes. My partner called and left a message, but didn't receive a return call to address the situation. If you buy body jewelry here, I suggest you verify that the size shown is the actual size. ***UPDATE: 6/29/21 I had moved out of state and was back in town to visit and get some personal stuff done. I went into the shop with the unused jewelry. I was greeted pleasantly by someone working the front. They were not able to fix the issue for me, but quickly got the manager, Bill. Bill came out immediately, and I explained the situation. While he wasn't able to accept the jewelry back (understandable), he said he would work with me. Work with me he did. Initially his demeanor was a bit gruff, but this changed to a more friendly one. Bill made it right with a great pair of 0 gauge captive bead stainless steel rings, something I have been wanting for my 19mm lower lobes for the look and weight. Not only that, but he found the black tunnels I had wanted in the correct size of 6g for my cartilage piercings. This time he made sure to measure the sizes. Bill absolutely made a poor situation into a fabulous one. I've changed my initial 3 star ⭐⭐⭐ rating to a five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ thanks to Bill. I'm not a beginner at body modification. I have several tattoos and piercings. Most all of the artists that I have worked with have been great. We have a good time with whatever service I get. In all my decades of experience, there have only been 2 times that I have ran into issues. *Pro tips for anyone considering services at ANY tattoo/piercing shop: Leave your inner Karen or Kyle behind. Don't go in with an attitude. Be a pleasant client. Listen to your artist. RESPECTFULLY address any concerns. Enjoy your body modification journey.

My sister wanted us to get matching tattoos with my mom. She had been tattooed here previously and I liked the half sleeve she had gotten done so we sent her artist our idea of a flower with daughter/mother as the stem. Tattoo shop is clean, organized and professional. Relaxed atmosphere. My mom went first and got hers on her wrist. Immediately she started groaning in pain and the artist never stopped to ask if maybe she was going to deep or if she wanted her stop. I went in and asked her to stop and checked in with my mom to see what the problem was and she said she didn't remember it hurting that bad. She has 2 other tattoos. Artist never said anything and my mom finished with the tattoo. I went next and got my flower on my tricep. This lady was digging in my arm like I had spit on her mom and ran over her cat. I've been tattooed on my chest, ankle, spine, wrist and foot and have never had someone do it that hard. I finished for the sake of finishing and knew I wouldn't be back after that. It took 3 months to heal and I developed sores that scarred over and now my "h" looks like a "d" and I have multiple scars in my tattoo. This was my experience with the one artist and no way reflects the establishment as a whole. I will personally stick with artists that I know from now on.
